Meet Danielle

I am Danielle, a 28- year-old Christian, family nurse practitioner, athlete, and health and wellness advocate.  I founded Built for Battle Fitness with my boyfriend, Tom. We both have a passion for helping people reach their optimal level of health through integrative wellness so they can live life to the fullest.

My journey began around 2011 when I first started working out. I was amazed at how one could sculpt his or her own body through diet and exercise, but even more amazing was the ability to alter disease states. I had lived with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) my entire life. It was debilitating at times. When I began to lead a healthier lifestyle, after only a short few months, my symptoms disappeared and NEVER came back.  I had also struggled with hormonal imbalances throughout my teenage years that I was able to mitigate through lifestyle changes. I saw the results and the healthy lifestyle became addicting. I wanted to learn all I could about the human body. I left my startup nut butter company (I also have a bachelors in economics), Bare Butter LLC, and decided to go into medicine. I graduated in 2018 with a masters in nursing and passed my boards to become a board-certified family nurse practitioner.

I want to help others understand health and the human body better in order to live to their fullest potential. Knowledge truly is power. I hope to change lives for the better, starting with yours! I hope this blog encourages you to take steps in your own life to live healthier. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Meet Tom

Tom is a 25-year-old state trooper who has lived the fitness lifestyle since the young age of 16. He has an extensive background in bodybuilding style workouts as well as running and cardio. He was awarded the State Police Academy Physical Fitness award in 2018. He is also one of the 2019 BBL championship winners. He graduated in the top of his class with a degree in accounting in 2017. He grew up playing many sports from wrestling to baseball and has a love for an active lifestyle. He believes in using diet and exercise as tools to become the best version of yourself. He creates the best version of himself to be able to battle and overcome any obstacles in his everyday life.
